Free Ways to Get Started with Affiliate Marketing…

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Here’s a question I received today…

I’ve just received the email and now have complete access to your website. From what I’m understanding, I now need a website (which I don’t have nor know how to get one. I thought you would be providing this. I’m definitely not website & internet savvy.) Also, from the Quick Start portion, I’m needing also web hosting and to purchase a domain. I’m currently unemployed and desperate for immediate cash, but I think I’m being asked to spend money at this point. Is this the case? Please advise.

Dear Affiliate,

You can use your affiliate links as a website if you’d like. We simply recommend building a website so you have an ongoing business for years to come. It’s simply a fact that building an online presence makes solid business sense.

However, I understand your concerns and here are some options for you to get started promoting the affiliate program without spending a dime…

1. Create a Squidoo Lens:
Here is a simple way to create a page where you can promote your affiliate links.

2. Posting on Forums:
Here is some information about promoting your affiliate link on forums.

3. Set up a blogger blog:
It could not possibly be easier to set up a blog with http://blogger.com . Just select a name, then a template, and start writing.

Of course, these aren’t our preferred methods to build a long-term business. You will want your own website and your own list down the road, but, we understand that, some of you don’t have any money to invest in your business right now and would prefer to get started without any roadblocks in your way.

I hope that helps!

List of Ezine Publishers

Friday, July 27th, 2007

I’m receiving the same questions from a lot of you.

Nicole, how do I promote these products if I don’t have a list?

My first response (as I’ve been trained very well by Jimmy) is GET ONE! ;)

However, if you’re not ready for that step, you may, instead, purchase advertising through other publishers.

There are both paid and free lists of ezine publishers who sell ads.

I’ll keep adding to this list as I uncover more, but here are a few places to begin:

http://www.directoryofezines.com/
http://www.ezine-dir.com/
http://www.ezinelocater.com/
http://www.mywizardads.com
http://www.moneymakingmommy.com
http://www.ezinead.net/
http://www.red-hot-copy.com/ezinead.htm
http://www.ezinequeen.com/adsales.htm
http://advertisetomillions.com/
http://www.soloadsonly.com
http://www.solo-ads.com/

Of course, I don’t necessarily recommend all of the places above, but it will get you started.

Feel free to add your recommendations below, as well.

Warmly,
Nicole

Thank you!!!

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007

I just looked at our stats and wanted to say “thank you”!

Over 40% of our sales recently have come from our affiliates and we appreciate you very much.

Here are some more stats:

As of right now, SmallReportsFortune is our best selling product.

But, ListProfitSystem is selling quickly so it could pass it up.

Both of these products are selling very well, so, if you haven’t started promoting Jimmy’s products yet — start with these two! :)

Just log in, and grab an ezine ad and add it to your autoresponder — or post the articles on your blog or website.

The important things it to take action. I can’t wait to see your name on the growing list of affiliates we pay each month.

As always, if there is anything I can do to make your job easier, just ask.

Warmly,
Nicole

Free and Discounted Learning?

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

I received a great question today. It was…
“Where can I find free and discounted learning?”

Here are some action steps for you.

1. Read the free reports that Jimmy has available. They are all MUST READ reports and free, so no excuses allowed. You can find them all here —

2. If you want all of Jimmy’s courses at a discount as they are released, then you’ll want to sign up at www.ListandTrafficNow.com — he introduces all his teaching there, before it moves to InfoProfitShare as a product.

3. If you haven’t gotten your first site up yet, then we offer a free tutorial that you can plug in and run with here - http://www.infoprofitshare.com/ecmaff/quick-start.php

I hope that gets you started.

That Darned First Website

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

Hi again, Nicole here, from InfoProfitShare.com. I’ve been busy at work, recording training videos to answer your biggest questions. (Thank you so much to everyone who has replied to our survey. Here is the survey in case you missed it and want to send in your thoughts: http://infoprofitshare.com/blog/2007/03/page/2/ )

It seems, from the survey results, that many of you are having a hard time getting your first website up and running.

I’ve spent the weekend recording a series of videos to teach you how to get a squeeze page up (a page that we provided). You can get started right here right now. http://www.infoprofitshare.com/ecmaff/quick-start.php

But… I’m running into some troubles. If you have a favorite *free* or very cheap wysiwyg web program that you like, and personally use, please share with me. I’d appreciate it much. (email nicole@infoprofitshare.com)

Warmly,
Nicole

Squidoo: A Two Minute Website

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

ok, guys. I’m finding that some of you are really new to this Internet Marketing thing.

Here’s a trick I recommend. It’s called Squidoo. You can basically set up a single page website in under 2 minutes — without knowing what ftp is.

Although I wouldn’t recommend you center your entire business around Squidoo, it is a quick way to set up a page that you can then promote.

Here’s my Squidoo page as an example: http://www.squidoo.com/nicoledean

Now, Squidoo certainly isn’t a perfect solution, BUT… it can be a way to start building a little something online.

Pros: It’s quick. It’s easy. You can link to it in forums that won’t otherwise allow affiliate advertising (like the warrior forum at www.warriorforum.com )

Cons: It has other people’s links and advertising on it. Not exactly the best situation, but .. until you get a website up, this may be an option for you.

HOT TIP: One thing you can do, is to purchase a domain and redirect it to your squidoo page. That way, if you, later, DO get a website up on that domain, all the links you’ve build towards that domain will still work. :)

This can be a great way to get started, even if you don’t know a lick of html!
Post questions below, please.

Post your Affiliate Link on Forums

Friday, March 9th, 2007

Hi all!

We provide A LOT of tools in the InfoProfitShare affiliate program. It seems that some of you are getting *really* (did I mention REALLY) overwhelmed.

You need a first step.

A question I’m getting repeatedly is “HOW can I promote this affiliate program if I have no list?

My first instinct is to say “Set up a squeeze page or a website and build a list.” However, if you have no idea how to set up a website, you can still get started with InfoProfitShare today. (While you take time to figure everything else out.)

Do NOT fall prey to “Paralysis by Analysis”. Do not freeze up with all the information we’re providing. If you do nothing, you have no chance to succeed. Action is the only way to move forward. So, ACT. ;)

If you’re a member of any forums where people are looking to make money (which basically applies to every person on earth) … include your signature link (by choosing one of our text ads). Every time you make a helpful post to another member (or even ask a question…) you’ll get exposure to your link.

Do NOT spam or post ads on the message boards, but DO include your affiliate links in your bio.

Now, of course, I have to put in a disclaimer here. I haven’t researched all of these forums before listing them here, so you will have to review their terms of service. And some of them may change over time, so do your due diligence before posting.

If you don’t have a site, you can list affiliate links at these forums:

Conquer Your Niche <-- This one is cool because you also earn ad credits for every single post you read and respond to.

If you DO have a website, you can link to it here. (These forums do NOT allow affiliate links in your signature line.)
Warrior Forum - Big Internet Marketing Hangout.

If you’re a mom, here are some forums that may have potential for including your bio:
http://www.wahm.com/forum/
http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/

I’ll add more in the coming months, but this should get you started.

More coming soon….
